Overview/Technology-

This has been a long time coming but we finally get to review the Aerotech SteelFiber shaft.  It’s what many refer to as “the best of both worlds” shaft because it combines the control of steel with the distance of graphite.

The Aerotech SteelFiber is a high modulus graphite core shaft that consists of over 59 miles of steel fiber that actually covers the surface!  Each steel fiber has a diameter of 8 microns, or approximately 1/10th diameter of the human hair!

Ok, what does this all technological jargon mean to you?  Quite honestly, a shaft that is a bit of a technological wonder, that’s what.  The SteelFiber is known for being an extremely “smooth” shaft with reduced vibration due to its structure.

SteelFiber Models-

SteelFiber i110:  The better player looking for a lighter shaft than a normal iron shaft, looking to add yardage along with a penetrating ball flight.

SteelFiber i95: Considered to be a great “transition” shaft in terms of it still being lighter shaft.  For players looking to again, improve distance while maintaining accuracy, this is a good fit.

SteelFiber i80: The best selling SteelFiber shaft and probably fits the majority of players out there as well.  This the model provides 100% of graphite with the accuracy and consistency iron shafts possess.

SteelFiber i70: The lightest model, this is for slower swing speeds looking to gain yardage.

Player Feedback-

“this is like using steel but lighter, the price is reasonable”

“I have the i110 in my Nike blades…and I love them”

“This has been my favorite graphite iron shaft and I have tried quite a few over the past 10 years (GAT 95, GAT 105LB, Fujikura, Apache, Graffolly, UST”

Pros/Positives-

Most everyone that plays the Aerotech SteelFiber falls in loves with them.  The feel of this shaft is second to none and if you are willing to pay a little extra, you will probably be very satisfied in your decision.

Cons/Negatives-

Price is probably the biggest deterrent.  Many golfers are willing to spend a little extra for a good driver shaft.  But when it comes to their irons shafts… well let’s just say it probably is a lower priority.  It shouldn’t, but it is.
