Negatives-
Very few if any. But I do want to throw out the caveat for certain shafts – if are not higher skilled player, you probably want to pass up this shaft. The VS Proto is geared for the stronger player. Even though it may have a slightly higher trajectory than the NV, the low torque is appreciable. If your club head speed is not fast enough, it will zap your yardage.

Excellent shaft for the accomplished player. Low, piercing ball trajectory makes it a monster in the right hands!
I have the Aldila Proto VS 65 S. I find the tip too whippy which makes my ball flight very HIGH! Of course, it doesn’t help that my drivers has 10.5 degree loft.
I’ve been a Grafalloy shaft use for a good 5 years and I prefer the characteristics of this shaft.
